Looking for new seat for my 2016 Heritage Softail. Pretty much have it narrowed down to the Saddleman Explorer and the LePera Maverick. Anybody have any feedback on these two seats (pros & cons, general opinions, etc)? Also willing to consider other suggestions if anyone knows of a similar seat that might be a better option. Thanks!
Two best seats I've ever ridden (but this is soooooo subjective that it is only my opinion based on my big a$$) are Russel Daylong and Sundowner.
I had Russel build seats for my BMW K1200LT and they were incredible. Did one 840 mile day ride and felt fine afterwards. Have the Sundowner on my Deuce and feel like it is as comfortable as the Russel.
But you really have to take any advise with a grain of salt. So many people love Corbin but I tried two and couldn't stand them. Just too personal a choice.
I do wish you luck in finding what works for you.

Did you have your Sundowner seat rebuilt by Russell? Ive heard nothing but great things about Russells seat rebuilds.
The Sundowner is a seat offered by Harley. It's actually embossed "HD".
I normally run either the stock seat or a real nice solo I got for it, but I bought the Sundowner so that the wife would be more comfortable. Then I turned around and bought the BMW (after which she refused to ride on the Deuce). I started using the Sundowner when I would take solo long distance rides on the Harley. Did a week long trip with it, about 3,000 miles, and it was VERY comfortable. Now that I'm suffering degenerative disc disease I find I use that seat more and more.
