2016 Softail Slim
Is there anyone in here that is running the fat spoke 21" Front wheel I have a question about the bearings. I have a friend that bought a set of wheels and they came with non ABS bearings so I pulled them out and got a set but they are thinner 18mm vs 21mm. I cant seem to find the 25X52X21mm in ABS so my thought is to use the stock spacer to make up the difference but when I do that the wheel will not rotate if the brake caliper is torqued. Im running out of ideas on this one so has any of you figured out a solution for this one.

These are Non ABS wheels going on a ABS bike the company that he ordered them from said they will bolt right on and wouldn't effect the ABS so right there I know they have no idea what they are doing. I made a spacer 6mm over stock to accommodate for the thinner ABS bearings. Wheel spins now with axle torqued but now the caliper is hitting the spokes. Its looks like I have two options for this 1. file down back of caliper or 2. mill down the threaded mounting tabs. Either way it will be modifying the caliper and I'm not too comfortable with the liable side to this. Is there an aftermarket caliper that is thinner that is a direct replacement for stock that will still offer good stopping power being that it is a single rotor front.

I would fit the wheel without the spacers and see if it will line up correctly. Then make spacers to suit.
At the least you will need 2 X 3mm spacers as 1 X 6mm will put the wheel off centre.
I definitely wouldn't modify the caliper.
The one I know of changed triple trees and front fender as well.
