Odometer Not Functioning
Came home today to find an inoperative odometer on my 2000 carbed Heritage. Everthing else operates except I have no illumination in the odometer window.
Upon further checking I find the odometer is working just not illuminated. Is there a light in the speedometer console that could need replacement.
Thanks for your help where to begin

If the speedo is working except for the light, I don't believe it is an easy fix...
I went through changing the speedo on my 2001 carbed softail.... as I remember, it is a self-contained, sealed unit.
There is no "bulb/socket" that is an easy customer replacement. I believe the speedo light is integral to the speedo, inside the sealed housing. I suspect it is a bulb on a circuit board....
There are videos showing how to peel back the trim ring and open the speedo. If you have the skills to change/solder a new bulb on a circuit board you can handle the fix.....
