I know you people have seen so many of these posts before,I am in the UK and can't get the oil that you can,I have a 2020 Low Rider S 114,the work shop I use says I do not need fully synthetic oil, others say I do,and say SNY3,so i am pissed with the amount of conflicting advice, can someone who really knows, has researched this, tell me what oil is actually the best that I can get and what, and what API is ok. I know Jaso has to come into it,any advice would be good Thank You.
Can you get Mobil 1 15W-50 full synthetic. I been testing Mobile full synthetic for years in a bunch of new cars (180K on one) and my bike with 50k on it.
Works great and at 100k valve check and plug changed looked like new under the valve cover.
You do need if you can get it two quarts of regularly non synthetic non detergent gear oil Harley's Formula+ for transmission and primary. It's best there as a first choice since non filtered boxes need non detergent.
Change all three at motor oil change ASAP after a hot shut down if you do your own. After warranty is gone, do it at maximum miles. Don't worry about time.

Never seen that. That euro? Over here it's about $28 for 5 qts for standard grade full synthetic. Had a big rebate going for a while. When gasoline sales when back up, they end up with too much motor oil on hand.
I use their tier 3 20,000 mile oil in cars. They don't have 15W-50 in but tier 1.
I use 20w50 as manual says, but should I use synthetic,or semi synthetic, this is what is confusing me with what the work shops say, Thank You for replies Mike UK
On oil bottles that I have read they say they meet or exceed HD spec. I just happen to pick Motul 7100 4T 20W50, which is synthetic, because it has those words on the bottle and it meets my price point.
I haven't seen Mobil 1 here and Amsoil is something like Ł20 per quart. Each oil change would cost Ł60 plus filter which I think is way too much no matter how good the oil is.

I agree with you,so in the UK what would you suggest,if using fully synthetic,my bike takes 4+ litres in the engine Mike UK
