Anyone have any experience with Quantum fuel pumps? The used OEM pump I got of the 'bay is working fine but has quite a few miles on it, just looking for a more cost effective option vs OEM if/when I need to replace it.
I can highly recommend Quantum fuel pumps. Customer service is top notch, too. Did not need it so far (knock on wood), but the pumps come with some sort of lifetime guarantee.
In all likelihood a worry-free purchase.
One of my local dealers uses all ***** racing fuel pumps. Was told they have installed 2 this month.
I also seen thread over on HTT about the Aeromotive 11540
I have no experience with either. I am interested because I would like to have an early twincam, and this is a hold up.
They seem to be everywhere when Im looking for pumps for my older bikes. Im betting they are fine. Depends on what you need. God help if you need an obsolete part of that system because that **** is hard to find and not cheap. Most of the time the pump is not the part Im needing.

There is some discussion on another forum that the early Twin Cam Fuel Pump #62897-01B is now obsolete...
A shop ordered one in November and was told it was on back ordered until March. He called again last week to inquire about its availability, and they said it was discontinued and now obsolete...
Another shop called a couple dealers last week and was told it still shows back ordered until March, but doesn't show obsolete.

Found that out the hard way.
I bought a NOS tank about a year ago for my 2009 Night Train and discovered that the tank was made in 07 and they changed the whole fuel pump setup in 08, so my perfectly functional 09 setup wouldn't just drop in like I suspected. Tried ordering all new components from the dealership after seeing how expensive used setups were on ebay, but everything was backordered until the rapture so I bit the bullet and got a used complete assembly with more miles than I'd like (33k). It seems to be working just fine, but with the extended delays, I'm open to an aftermarket solution if needed down the road. Might just order OEM now and wait until 2027 when it arrives.
I installed the Quantum pump and regulator in my bike a few months back. Bought the kit with the fuel lines, tank gasket, etc. The pump works fine, but the gasket split. I torqued the bolts to the spec, but who knows. Replaced with a factory HD gasket and all is fine now.
