I bought a NOS tank about a year ago for my 2009 Night Train and discovered that the tank was made in 07 and they changed the whole fuel pump setup in 08, so my perfectly functional 09 setup wouldn't just drop in like I suspected. Tried ordering all new components from the dealership after seeing how expensive used setups were on ebay, but everything was backordered until the rapture so I bit the bullet and got a used complete assembly with more miles than I'd like (33k). It seems to be working just fine, but with the extended delays, I'm open to an aftermarket solution if needed down the road. Might just order OEM now and wait until 2027 when it arrives.
haha! This same thing happened to me this year. Wifes 09 bike was in a fender bender. I found a good condition full tin set from 07 for $600. Took me over 6 months to finally piece together a full fuel pump through eBay.
