Dumb question but that's me. I'm wondering if all drivers backrests are seat specific. Got an Ultimate seat and looking for backrest.

 

There are various rider backrests available for stock Softails e.g. Hassgropper About us (grasshopperlimited.com) and Bestem Welcome to Bestem Carbon Fiber - Precise Fitting Motorcycle Carbon Fiber Fairings at Wholesale Price (bestemusa.com) but they may not be compatible with your Ultimate seat.
I have a rider backrest made by Firehouse Customs which I am very happy with, but the company disappeared some time ago.
BTW the above 3 backrests are not adjustable and therefore beware they may require some energetic bending to fit you properly.



I had high hopes for this Fehling backrest, but it didn't fit me and it couldn't be adjusted even by bending, so I had to return it for a refund.

 

See if ultimate seats can install their bracket. If so you can get their backrest and your set.

 

I got HDs adjustable backrest for my RGs.

It might be the best thing I bought for riding

 

Thanks for the link. I ordered one from Grasshopper today for my wife's 2005 Deluxe. Not a bad price either.
