Friend had a 95 Fatboy and wants a better brighter headlight. Thoughts ?
What about a Sumpie ? Direct fit ?
He's a cheap bastard, so he is not going to spend a lot.

I agree custom dynamics is probably best , I installed CD turn signals and taillight but installed a LED bulb in my stock FB headlight from a company called Cyron and it worked out real good, very bright the brightness matches CD turn signals and it was about $79.00 .
What's considered cheap? I put an Eagle Lights halo LED headlight in my '14 Breakout. They have a lot of headlights under $200. I think Hogworkz is around the same price, maybe just over $200
I had heard good things about Sunpie so I bought the headlight and running lights for my 08 Heritage. The headlight flopped around in the enclosure and I never could get it mounted solidly, plus I didn't think it was bright at all. It was resting comfortably in a local landfill shortly after I bought it. Maybe I just got a bad light but I cannot recommend them.
The running lights are still on my bike but I'm not impressed with them either.
I have In LED bulb in my headlight from Hogworkz and I'm happy with that.
I have Rivco bulbs in my 05 Heritage, but the turns, tail, fender tips, stabilizer and triple play are all CD. I'm not a fan of the Rivco HL bulb but the 2 spots are fine. For some reason the high beam is not much brighter at all. I like the Led kits from Eagle, had the Eagle headlight in my Dyna, it was crazy bright, but I like the Classic look of the bike without those funky looking LEDS, when the time comes, I'll drop Alla LED bulbs to replace the Rivcos. I have Alla on my Chevy Colorado and I like them, bright, functional and not over priced.

The sunpie light is a good option for an inexpensive upgrade from halogen. Had mine about 2 years with zero issues with fitment and performance . I've got the 5” on my Softail. Looking at a 7" bucket or a Baja Designs light to upgrade next
