Are all Softail Deluxe tins created equal?
I have a 2005 FLSTN Deluxe and looking for a possible trade of tin sets with a 2006 Deluxe.
he is saying that they are very different just for that year Can someone please give me some insight?

If there both carby bikes the tank is the same part. 62929 05bhy for black tank.
if one has fuel injection then it won't work.
Google-
Harley parts Finder
and compare the part numbers for tank and fenders from the different years.
2008 model up is definitely different to 2007....

I do believe the tanks are the same. But I'm not expert, you can cross reference part numbers here, under the "H.D Microfiche" tab.
