I have a 2022 FXLRS Low Rider S. I have noticed that the odometer reads about 3% high compared to mile markers and other vehicles that I have taken over regular distances. So, when the mile markers indicate I have gone 100 miles, the odometer show 103.
My question is will my speedometer be off by the same amount or are they unrelated?
It will get right when the tires are half worn and fix it by the time they are worn out.
File this thread under a saved folder just in case. Never know. It may be five miles over the warranty and with it, they may just honor the expired warranty.
Check your tire pressure to what's in owners manual.

The speedo can be calibrated or rather the bikes sensors.
I can only talk about the FP3 tuner but it takes a GPS input from the connected phone and checks it against what the bike is doing. After a time it calculates the percentage difference to be written to the ECM.
I have trouble believing this. I don't know if math supports this , but curious.
Not vehicles are dead on. Jap bikes wee known for being off. Iron butt even mentioned it.
I would ride with my metric bike and higher a little.
Personally, who cares? 150 miles over 5k.
Bigger concern would be speeding ticket
. What part are you having trouble with? C=2πR ? It's pretty simple I thought.
And at 70, that's only about 2 MPH.
MY assumption was the first poster was hinting at being cheated out of warranty. Purchasing different tire brands can easily change it.
Say his new tires are 69.08 and worn out 67.54 circumstance.
That's about 1.54 difference each turn. 5280 feet per mile. 63,360 inches
That's 938 down to 917 wheel turns in a mile. That about 27 difference in turns which is little over 3%. Figure Harley allow for us brave ones up in the chicken strip area of the tire.
I know, save my followers the trouble.
