i have a 2022 fat bob and the brake light isn't working. the two tail lights on the back light up when i use either the front or the back breaks - only the center light under the fender is not working. i checked that the front brake lever is OK - the white plastic "cup" is on the switch itself and that seems fine.
Unless you have a run/turn /brake module the directional turn signal lights shouldn't come on when applying the brakes.
Short of a possible wiring problem.maybe
Any work recently done?
This may require some testing and tracing wire's
A volt meter and being able to reading a schematic would be most helpful.
Are you up for that?
i replaced the levers and put a cobra luggage rack on. i'm sure its only a coincidence!
i made sure to slide in the brake lever correctly so to not damage the switch and that white cup - i can actuate the switch and it seems to be OK. the luggage rack was straight forward - i had to remove the four (4) screws on the fender and replace them with new ones. unless there is wiring underneath of the plastic strips on the fender, i don't think that would have affected anything.
i was able to get a time tomorrow at my local dealership. hopefully it's not going to hurt too much - they will certainly see that I went from Chrome to black with the levers.
If the side lights work with both the foot and lever its not that. Its in the light itself.
I believe everything runs through the taillight on the newer models.
Most likely you broke your brake switch in your right pack when you changed the levers. Brake light is now constantly on giving you the illusion the brake light is not working.

I did put my bike in a dark garage and then put something around the light and it's not changing at all, so I'd be surprised if its on. I have an appointment this afternoon, so hopefully the dealership resolves it. I'll follow up with this thread with their findings and see if its something this dipshit did!

any suggestions?
thanks.
so, I dont take my self very seriously, and got a pretty good laugh at myself when I went to the dealer . The center light under the fender is a ****ing reflector! Lol. I told the service manager to never speak of this.
while I take 99% of the stupidity credit, he should have told this dipshit that the fat Bob doesnt have a break light under the fender.
anyway, my upgraded levers work and no damage was done to the switch.
