Default SS Screws

Hey guys i had an insurance claim and the dealer replaced my SS race slipons with 50 state compliant. Not real happy.. Will I see a huge difference in performance or sound? Also, how do you get the security screw off? I want the DBs out like my old ones. Thanks

Take it back and tell them to take their junk slip ons off. You want what was on there.

What kind of security screw are you referring too? A torx with a pin in the head?

It's a $10,000 Federal fine for a Dealership with a business license to modify from OEM original.

Things are tightening up. I have an old Civic backup local driver.

Was putting tires on it. Two identical Goodyear tires had two different speed ratings . The higher one had 1/8 less tread depth.

They would not sell and install the 110 mph. Had to be the 130mph.

I even promised not to drive over 110. seriously, and it didn't help .

So I payed $100 more dollars with a 10,000 less warranty.

They sell the torx bits with the hole in them at Harbour freight. I needed a big one for my Jeep rollbar. Not sure how good a quality they are. I only use them were required. Especially the smaller ones with the hole.

Not like it's a law or something. Usually, they are in places to remind people to know what they are doing. My rollbar front comes out to drop windshield.

However, the rear hold the passenger seat belts. So the security bolt.

Not all of that was just my opinion...

Get over the HF and get a set of those bits. They have been used in more & more things now - you will get your use out of them and they are very low priced for a set.

Some states require repair shops to give you back your old parts if you request them. Did they offer them back? Or do you have them and just need to remove the security fasteners?
