I'm wondering if anyone has a suggestion for a problem I have. I put a forward control kit from HD on my 2020 FXLRS, it's the one they sell on their site that's made by Drag Specialties. The problem is, the brake pedal is garbage, it sits so low that I have to stretch my foot like a ballerina push it, and I can't even fully engage it. I know I can adjust it at the master, but I'm looking for a replacement lever just the same. HD sells this one, but it looks like it's on perpetual back order. Anyone know of a similar brake lever that would fit? Thanks
Since no one has answered you that knows the parts. I seem to remember that there are different lengths for the rod that goes into the master cylinder. At least on some models there were. Maybe that would help to bring it up to a usable angle?
Thanks for answering. The one that came with it connects directly to the clevis without a rod. I wound up ordering one from softbrake.com after talking with the owner. It looks similar to the Harley billet one I linked, and it takes a large pad. I talked to him about adjusting the clevis out and he kept me from making a mistake by just running it out and just tightening the nut behind it, he sends washers with his pedals to get the height adjusted and braced against them. I'll post back here when I get it on and take it for a test ride, but I have high hopes after a couple of months of trying to sort out the problem. The lever that came with the kit also has a t shaped pedal which puts it in close to the engine, this should sit out in line with my peg.
