Considering changing up a FXST including fittting a sporty like tank.

The back bone of the frame is butt ugly square tube as per the pic below.

Has anyone changed that out for a round tube as per earlier HDs?

I can be done but it will be a lot of work for a fabricator. They would also need a frame jig.

You do know that they make sporty tanks to fit on your square backbone.

 

Cheers mate. Have seen the tanks with the square back bone, just cant get my head around how it looks.

 

I’d feature it… I’d clean it up removing welds and use it as part of a hardcore industrial look. Heck lots probably don’t know the factory went to that, probably wind up looking custom. Think exile choppers in the early 2000’s.
