Default heritage saddlebags

i have a 07 heritage softail, and I don't like the clearance between the bag, and the exhaust. It can't be more than an .25". Any ideas on how to increase this distance?

Change your exhaust to something shorter...

Either pick a shorter exhaust or a 2 into 1 exhaust.

I've been riding Heritages for a while now. Last one was an '03, present one is an '07. Well over 50K miles combined and I've never had any problems with a heat situation on the saddle bag. It really doesn't present any problem with the bag or contents. if it really bothers you,you might consider a V&H Pro Pipe 2 into 1. It will give you more clearance between the bag and pipe.

Are you afraid of what the heat will do to what you store in there? Looks? I ride with my laptop in that bag and never even felt any heat issues with that or anything else I have stored in it. Any way like everyone else has said an exhaust change is the easiest way to solve it.
