Default Unknown plug wires cut wire Softtail

Hello,

I bought this 2003 HD Softtail Heritage Classic and there is a wire sticking out the front that has been cut. Actually, it is two wires in one and the plug is on the left side at the front of the gas tank (yellow arrow). The yellow two wire bundle follows the yellow line to the front next to the headlight assembly. I can't seem to find what it is for. The running front light works, the yellow lights work, and there is a switch that powers up the dual clear driving lights which all work. Pic for description. Anybody know what these two wires (in one bundle) are for?

Yellow arrow points to plug in question.

For clarity, the wire does not go into the headlight assembly, just to that area.

I'm going to guess that is some aftermarket wire/connector for an aftermarket accessory that has been removed...

I haven't looked at the OEM wiring schematic, so I could be wrong, but I just looked at my 2003 EFI Heritage....

I have no such wire/connector on my bike in that spot. Just three wire groups of the wire harness, that pass by that spot. All of which are in a smooth wire loom, and no connector. Also one single wire with no connector.

Here is a pic of my 2003 EFI Heritage when I replaced the fuel injectors. Everything from that big rubber moulding to the rear of the bike is under the tank when it is mounted on the bike.

As you can see in this pic, there is no connector or double wire forward of the tank on my bike, like the one you circled in yellow on yours...

Thanks a bunch. I plan on taking the tank off soon, so maybe I can trace it all the way back to something. I couldn't find anything coming out of the fuse box, so curious as to what they spliced into.

Very helpful.

Thanks
