New to forum but have been riding longer then I want to say. Have a 94FXDWG and a 95 Fatboy. Have a chance to get a 2002 fatboy that only has 141 miles on it, has anyone had any problems with this year?
Bike is stock but has lots of chrone parts put on it.
A 2002 with only 141 miles on the clock implies a NEW bike that was never ridden. That means the original factory oil has been sitting in motor and the bike hasn't finished being broke-in.
Probably no big deal, but I'd insist that a HD shop took a real good look at this bike in your behalf. What about tire-rot from sitting on the same spot all the time. Fuel going bad in the carb bowls and gumming jets, Etc, etc..... you get my drift about possible neglect issues.
Don't get me wrong, with just a little TLC, you might have an awsome bike. Personally, a bunch of miles on a bike is almost a good thing if the maintenance was kept up.
I have an '02 as well. The only problem I ahve had is I had to replace the aftermarket headlight in it that I put it in as it burned out after about 6 months. I got rid of the sealed beam and got the innards from JC Whitney (found the info on here) so I could have a brighter beam. I'm at 22K miles and no other problems...
