Default Trailer Length Question
Hello all,
I have a 2008 Softail Deluxe and am looking to buy a trailer. Does anyone know if it would fit on a 5x8 Karavan utility trailer? I need to trailer it 2200 miles a year. I know it will be tight, but any input will be appreciated.

overall length of your deluxe id 94.7 inches so as long as trailer inside is more than that it will fit

looks like 96" inside dimensions
Take a tape measure to your Deluxe and confirm it's under 96" overall

Here’s a picture of my 09 Heritage on my 4’ X 8’ trailer.
So yes the Deluxe will fit a 5’ X 8’ Karavan trailer.

Diagonal gives you even more room length wise.
You can also use longer bars to not pull the tailgate up so far when you close it, or leave the tailgate off completely and carry a conventional ramp instead.

I want to thank everyone with the input on my trailer question. I purchased a Alpha Sport trailer from usatrailers. It should be delivered in a few days. I will try and post some pictures when it arrives and bike loaded.
