Default 2008 Rocker C 96"

I have seen couple photos of bike, suppose to go see it physically this week end.

I know the 240 rear tire is not cheap.

I think all the Twin cam motors went to hydraulic tensioner in 2006/2007?

Any tidbits of info you could share will greatly be appreciated.

Just coming off of a 2011 Wide Glide. Rode this bike for about 4-5 years. Prior to this was a 2012 Super Glide, for 4-5 years. All with the 96" motor.

Thanks in advance,

Thanks in advance,

In 2007, all 96" Twin Cam engines got the new hydraulic cam tensioners. That is good...

2006/2007 is also the years that HD introduced the new "updated" comp on most models, that proved to be problematic.. Your 2011 & 2012 were a better version of that 2006-2010 comp, but not quite as trouble free as the 2014+ comp update.

However, I notice that the Rocker & Rocker C have a different comp from those with the problematic comp...

Never having owned or worked on a Rocker/Rocker C, I'm not sure how their comp differs, or if it was problematic like the others. I suspect it was not, as the SE retrofit fix for the problematic comps doesn't fit the Rocker or Rocker C.... so I just don't know..

Hopefully someone in the know will school us both on the Rocker & Rocker C comp status...

Go ride it. A 240mm rear tire might be a bit to wide for me.

I bought mine new with 5 miles on the clock back in 08, now at 50k miles, no real issues with the bike at all.
