Default Quiet python pipes down?

I have an 04 softail standard Fi with python pipes are there “quiet baffles” or something I can do to quiet them down? They’re so loud but I really don’t want the expense of new pipes

Python pipes are rebranded Vance and Hines without the removable tips.
And yes, there are "Quiet Baffles" but they're not that much quieter to the rider's ear.
Except in a tunnel.

I had a set of those on my 90 springer and the baffles pulled right out. Maybe someone removed your baffles? Check see if you have baffles inside there.

‘’Also if you do see baffles, see if you can remove them? If you can they are just wafer metal with no packing. You can buy packing pretty cheap and tightly wrap 1-2 layers around the wafer and slide them back in. Or if removable buy some with packing to go in there place. Last.. if there are baffles you can’t remove, you could buy the DK customs TTI inserts and use at the ends after the baffles. They do knock the db down 1-2.

You can use Thunder Torque Inserts™ in them and they will reduce the dB's And give it a deeper tone, AND give you a nice bump in low and mid range power.

Here's just one dB chart from the link above-The comparison may seem subtle but decibel measurements are not linear.

For Example, 90 decibels is four times as loud as 70 decibels and 110 decibels is about 16 times as loud.

Here's a vid about them.

Personally, I've never had much success trying to quiet excessively loud pipes. A couple of years ago I bought a Heritage Classic Softail that came with "so loud you can't hear yourself think mufflers." I took the baffles out (big pain) and wrapped them with the proper material, and then reinstalled them (bigger pain). The result was better but not great. I finally acquired some stock mufflers, put a few holes in the baffles and called it good. It's louder than stock but not uncomfortably so.
There is a company called American Custom Mufflers that many people rave about. I'd be tempted to give them a look. Prices are very reasonable.
