Screaming eagle extreme air breather
y air filter makes my bike rev too much event tuned proprely idk what to do doesnt seem broken its new
with a 107 m8. I bought the air filter and installed it, it was reving supper higher.. I bought a tuner (fuel pack 4) tuned it with my set up with a map vance and hinces sent me.. it still rev hight. All is connect good. They seen the air filter etc and they say on their part alls is good and that it might be a problem with the installation. Re installer my stock air filter and bike is good. I did install it exactly as it shows on multiple youtubes videos (it super simple..)
Hello, i have a sport glide 2021 air filter makes my bike rev too much event tuned proprely idk what to do doesnt seem broken its new with a 107 m8.

Do you mean that it is idling high??
If so, the throttle by wire bikes will remember the last throttle position each time they are shut down...
If you have the throttle engaged when you shut it down, the ECM will remember that as the idle...
It happens a lot when people use their kill switch to shut down the bike. They inadvertently turn up the throttle just a little bit when they reach with their thumb to hit the kill switch, and the throttle inches up in RPM ... until it's way high...
To reset the throttle position idle to OEM: Turn the ignition switch on for 10 seconds, and then off for 10 seconds (do not start the engine). Repeat that a total of 4 times. That should reset your original throttle position.
Is your idle is rough and sporadic??
That can be caused by a vacuum leak.. You may have moved, bumped, or tweaked something during your air cleaner install that caused a vacuum leak at the intake manifold (throttle body). Or, you may have improperly installed the new air cleaner. If your idle is sporadic and/or rough, recheck your install of the air cleaner...
If I misunderstood what you are reporting, then just ignore my suggestions...
thanks for your time 💪🏽
Honeslty it could be.. I will give it a try in a few days (installed stock one for a ride tomorrow) but wouldnt it still rev too high on stock one? The bike rev so much its basically a cruise control and if i use the clutch it gets to 4-5k rpm.. then again all good when I reinstall the stock one.
thanks for your time 💪🏽
If it went away when you reinstalled the stock air filter, then the issue was in the new air filter...
It is most likely a faulty unit, or you did something wrong with the install...
Keep us posted about what you eventually find out....
It could be something about the filter that fouls the throttle blade itself, holding it partially open. It could be something odd that you are doing while installing it that basically achieves the same result.
