Is there much advantage to swapping a Fat Boy front wheel and fender on a 2016 Heritage FLSTC? Has anyone done it?
Advantage...?
Other than the solid wheel w/tubeless tire (Fat Boy) versus the laced, spoke wheel w/ tire tube (Heritage) debate, I can't think of any "advantage" with the Fat Boy wheel and fender...
I suspect the swap will ultimately be based mostly on aesthetics...

No advantage for swapping them out. I have a Fatboy from fender on my Heritage with HD aftermarket wheels. I like the look better than stock but the bike won’t perform any better. With the fatboy wheel, if you pick up a nail, you can put a plug in the tire and get back on the road. You’re stuck with a tire running a tube.
