Emulators or Mono tubes?
I’ve got a 2014 Fatboy and I’m looking to improve the front suspension. I’m thinking of getting either RaceTech Emulators or Progressive Mono tubes. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions on these? I’m open to other suggestions but not looking to spend more than $350. Any help?

I can't comment on the emulators, never used 'em. But I have used Progressive monotubes and love how much better the front end feels.
Whatever you choose, will be better than how it left the factory.

Can't speak of the Emulators but I dropped in mono-tubes by Progressive and removed Progressive 2" lowering kit N springs and put bike back to normal stock height and loving how my front end and bike handles over all. No more dive under front end braking. For me one of the best mods I did to the bike ....
Our take on the emulators is that they require extra steps for installation and most find that they ultimately don't pay off in the end in performance.
The Intiminators yield better performance with a much easier install.

I looked into the difference between RaceTech Emulators and Ricor Intiminators about 10 years ago... I believe DK Customs now has the rights to manufacture/sell the Ricor Intiminators.
From what I remember, both are very similar... This is what I concluded at that time..
The Race Techs are user adjustable. They are preferred by serious track guys and racers that want the ability to dial in their suspension when needed. That adjustability makes them a little more complex to install and maintain.
The Ricor Intiminators are a more user friendly option. The shims are selected based on your bike and weight, then you just install them and let them do their job.
I decided that the complexity of the Race Tech product, although tunable for the best ride for the conditions, was over kill for a street bike. I knew I wouldn't take the time to "fuss" with them a lot.
I went with the Ricor Intiminators for my 2012 Limited. Very noticeable improvement over OEM, and an easy install it and forget it product...
This was 2013ish, I am unaware if there have been radical changes to either product.
Ever since I upgraded to my 2016 Ultra Classic, I have been meaning to get a set of Ricor Intiminators, but I have been lazy. I have Ohlins on the rear, and they really make the weaknesses of the front suspension stand out.
My 50K service is coming up in the near future. I intend to check and repack the steering head bearings, so I may just add the Ricor (now DK Customs) product at that time...
