Hey all, I've looked for quite some time to find a set of OEM bags and without any luck I can't even find the part number. If anyone could help me out, I would appreciate it. Here's what they look like. Thanks.
I bought a set of generic aftermarket hard bags, which I have to admit they look really good. Comes with mounting brackets. Quality is really nice. The only change I made was to change the mounting horseshoe clips to C rings. Much easier to install. I think everything was 280. I just put some plastic film on the tops as I am short and always drag my foot over the right side. The same ones are shown in a video by the Badgers...they do HD videos.

Hey HotRod! These are the bags I found at local shop. They seem to he tue right ones..
what do you think? these fit 98 fatboy?
Bolt spacing is 9.25 inches
Is there a special catalog to look up part numbers?
There is but I don't have it.. Obviously one of the guys on here who posted the initial pic of the OEM saddlebags, which I believe come from a different catalog from the Moco.. Maybe they can help you out..
According to the 1998 HD parts catalog for softail models, only the softail classic and softail springer heritage came with saddlebags. That being said, they should fit on a fatboy. The part number for the classic bags is 90476-93 (left) and 90477-93 (right). Do a google search for the 1998 softail parts catalog. You can find a few places to download it for free. There is more to it than just the bag. There is a support for under it and a few other bits. Send me an email to my profile email address and I will snd you the two pages out of the parts catalog that shows the picture and all the part numbers.
