2016 Heritage Classic mid shift control
Just got myself a 2016 Heritage Classic w 19k and had bunch of goodies. Windshield, soft bags, Vance Hines pipes. Very nice but as you well know, Harleys are meant to be personalized!
Here is a pic.
I really prefer mid shift controls and finding one for this model and year is tough! Beyond tough, maybe impossible. So, I am asking all of the wise sages out there , where can I turn to for mid controls.
Thank you.
Thats how she came!
After 1st ride smiling!

You need to use some Harley Dyna Parts and/or machining, because no Softails have mid controls, yet Dyna models do.
He did it on an '06 Softail. That bike has the 88" Twin Cam with the 5-speed. Apparently the Dyna parts needed will fit that year Softail. You'll also need to deal with moving the rear brake master cylinder. Additionally, the softail frames don't have holes for mid control mounts, so he bought Mid-Control mounts form Exile Cycles..
You want to do it on a 2016 Sofatil with a 103" and 6-speed... Not sure if the primary parts are compatible between the 103"/6-speed Softails and Dynas, like between the 88"/5-speed Softails and Dynas. You'll have to do some research on that, or maybe someone with that knowledge will chime in. I suspect they are, but that is just a guess on my part...
Here was his parts list:

As far as the attachment locations go, the Exile Cycles foot peg mounts are installed on the lower frame tubes. Look at the photos to see where the foot pegs exit from underneath the primary cover. You may be able to adjust their location by moving the mounts forward but not by very much. I have them mounted as far back as possible. The exhaust on the Softail is OEM."

Good luck with your conversion. If you do it, update this thread to share your experience and photos...
