Need help with my 2004 fatboy Softail
It does not smoking but it has backfired ..now hey that's fine it will not run and like it was not making it to the top what do I need to start checking first and how do I find out about my motor and what CC's or Cam
Yes my
main oil is way over full and
it is running like it's very cold nature I don't know what is wrong with it .It does not smoking but it has backfired ..now hey that's fine

First, if the oil is overfilled, just drain/pump out the excess. Then, never check the oil cold. Wait until it is at operating temperature. On Softails, especially older ones, if they sit for awhile, oil will drain from the oil tank, past the oil pump, into the sump. You check it at operating temp to ensure any oil leaked into the cases is scavenged back into the oil tank by the pump. It will keep you from over filling the oil tank.
Your bike, if in OEM form, was an 88" Twin Cam B engine. The Softail Twin Cam B engines have internal balancers, unlike the Twin Cam A engines, without internal balancers, used in the Touring and Dyna bikes. If it has been modified, there are ways to check what mods it may have, but some disassembly may be needed for a definitive answer.
Before anyone can give you an educated response to your running issues, we need to know a few things: Is it EFI or does it have a carb? Any recent engine mods/repairs? Has it been running well and this issue just happened? What, if anything, have you done to diagnose and/or fix the issue so far..?
And i personally have no idea what you mean by , "it will not run and like it was not making it to the top".

Give us some more info, and there are many on here who can offer good advice...
