94 Heritage Softail Classic Turn Signal canceller
So a buddybrought over his 94 heritage softail classic for some wiring shorts that he had after he had some (unsure what to call them) Methican American mess with his bike to remove the turn signals. Through my research I've found that leaving the TSCM in can affect other aspects of the bike including headlight brights not working. I am wondering if there is a walk around i need to do to cancel this or just removing the extra wires even from the plugs will be ok. All turn signals lights have been removed and trashed. I will remove all the turn signal wires from the harness plugs at the neck of the bike. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Difference between a Turn Signal Module (TSM) and a Turn Signal Security Module (TSSM) on Harley-Davidson motorcycles lies in the security features. The TSM primarily manages turn signals and functions as a bank angle sensor, while the TSSM includes all TSM functionalities plus additional security features like an immobilizer and key fob recognition according to Custom Dynamics
Or does it really have a TSCM
You can remove Module and jump a TSM.
Before removing stuff, unplug and get things right.
Truly has a TSCM. I'm a certifi automotive electrical not motorcycles so according to the wiring diagram thats what it says.
It explains I think your TSCM function.
I think I have a handle on the newer TSM and TSSM.
Trying to update my Folder for this old system you have.

I don't think the newer Softails like mine have the TSM and the TSSM affect headlights. They have a bank angle kill switch in them, turn signal cancel and monitor resistance to indicate a burnt out bulb.
They are no longer available from Harley.
You can jump out a TSM. Not so with a TSSM.
PS.. welcome to the HDFORUM. Your experience and training will be a valuable assett.
asset.
That module is probably is valuable on ebay...

Welcome to the world of Harley... The MoCo frequently has its own language. Harley just happens to call it a "Turn Signal Canceller" or I guess that would be a "TSC" for short...
If you want to get it running back in OEM form, the Harley part is #68537-89G. It is no longer available from the MoCo.
I know V-Twin makes an aftermarket one (about $100), and Custom Dynamics offers one too ($89.95).
As far as just cutting it out, it has been awhile since I have worked on an EVO bike, but I don't believe the turn signal canceller affects anything other than the turn signals. I believe, until the BCM bikes, the headlight circuits were different and separate from the turn signal (and later tip over sensor) circuits handled by the TSC and later TSM/TSSM modules.
There are some knowledgeable EVO guys on here, hopefully one of them will chime in..
