Bikes starts immediately, runs great and still I get a check engine light. Scan tool calls out injector. Any input is appreciated.

I would need a little more info before I would know if I could offer an intelligent guess...

What "scan tool" are you using?

What is meant by "calls out injector"?

Is the tool saying you have a current fuel Injector DTC from your ECM?

What is the actual code?

Any mods to the bike, or is it OEM?

Any recent work done to the bike?

Trying to trouble shoot an issue from a post on a forum is difficult. Since we are not there to hear & see what you are, detailed info is better than generalities...

Did you happen to just purchase the bike? Could be a leftover code waiting to be cleared with run cycles, after someone replaced a bad injector?

For what it's worth - After extensive troubleshooting, I found a bad aftermarket injector on my bike, and I never had a code showing it was bad.

Second post in eight years, we'll probably never know.

I'll replace both injectors. I've been the only owner. It was odd how well it starts and runs. I would have thought a bad injector would have caused performance problems. I'll repost after the change. Thanks to all.

Unfortunately you did not respond to questions asked.
Replacement of parts without confirmation of problem is generally not suggested.
Reason: If the new part does not solve problem.....
The replacement parts can confuse diagnostics because then you are stuck trying to identify if the new part is functioning correctly or adding to the problem.
For example, perhaps a wire or connection was disconnected for some fuel tank work, air cleaner work, throttle cable change or some other item in that area caused a loss of connection.

Tug on the injector wires. If stretchy, they be broken inside..

After much time spent, it appears the ECM is faulty. Sorry for the disappearing act, but I can only work on the bike as time is available. As I stated before, the bike starts easily and runs great. It's that damn check engine light. It's indicating low voltage to the front injector. I am getting beyond my expertise now. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Before replacing the ECM, I would do what Max suggested in the post above yours... to check the front injector wires for possible separation under the insulation right before the connector.

Also, make sure it's a good, clean, solid contact with the connector to the front injector, and make sure all the pins/contacts are straight & clean.

That's the plan. Check the wiring at the injector. Clean the connection point. Possibly replace the connector. The code indicates low voltage to the injector. We'll replace the ECM only as a last resort. We can test the voltage at the good injector, no code on that one. It's just time consuming. Thanks for all the input.
