I cut mine with the instructions here on the forums. Absolutely no problem and beautiful results. Took off 1.5"
Hi John! I see we finally got a post out of you! I saw his windshield and it really did turn out beautifully. You can't tell he touched it. . .

Steve,
I have a Heritage similar to yours. Personally, I think windshields are for cages since I avoid the Interstate like the plague, but on the off chance I might have to get on one, I had a local glass shop cut mine down 7". I hate looking through it and don't even want to see the edge.
Look in the yellow pages for glass shop or follow th instructions on the link Bill posted. It's easy if you have a jig saw.

If you don't mind spending a few dollars you can do what I did: Go to Cee Bailey's web site and order a replacement shield (I'm 5'10" and ordered minus 2" height and 1" wider than stock, in clear). What you will get is an amazing piece of work -- flawless optics and literally twice the thickness of the stock shield, which means no flexing or fluttering in any wind conditions. I think I paid about $105, and it was well worth the price. All you need to do is take the hardware off the stock shield and put it on the replacement shield -- about 10 minutes all in all.
