Welcome to the HDFORUM. Community team will move this probably to correct area.

Hopefully it wasn't locked before dieing. If so, a used one can be programmed to work with less issues.

The key is the time pause when you start to reprogram it.

Will attach a thread shortcut shortly.

PM or note in this thread if this doesn't help.

I have a folder full of the latest...

Jackie paper. If I got back to you, he needs a TSSM. But there are a million part numbers. How do I get the right one?

Model with the letters following it and FI or carburetor?

Note last letter in my signature... that I indicates FI

@Lindyk66 I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the Softail Models section as you will get better responses to your question in this section. The Welcome section is more for introducing yourself & letting other forum members know what Harley Davidson you own, not asking technical questions.

The Harley modules are unavailable, it's an obsolete part. There used to be only two possibilities; finding a NOS somewhere, or trying a used one from eBay...

Now Custom Dynamics make a replacement TSM for most models using a TSM, TSSM, or HFSM.... It has its limitations, but it's a new module with a 3-year warranty.

I have a new 68922-00C TSSM (never installed) I'll sell you. It's the correct part number for my 2002 Road King. May fit your 2002 Softail.
I run P/N 68920-01C in my bike TSM.
