so i just got a new project, was told its a softtail, but when looking up the vin ive come to realize its not a harley frame and i cant fine anything on who mightve made this frame. the vin is stamped below the voltage regulator mount and it starts with tg-1
That VIN "TG/180ST362E" prior to the 6-digit serial number, looks to be a VIN from an old custom frame, made by TGC (Total Performance). I believe it should also be stamped on the neck of the frame.
Total Performance (TGC) made Custom frames, sold in kits, for motorcycle builds using Harley Engines. The "ST" designates it as a Softail frame.
Total Performance kits were sold by, or made by , V-Twin Manufacturing.
I believe they were popular back in the EVO, and/or very early Twin Cam days...
