I just spent the last hour setting up a photo editor program and learning how to use it so I could show you what I have in mind.
This is what the tank looks like now;
And here's what I would "like" to do. Plus change the silver pin stripes to match the green color of Marvin's helmet. Not sure about the Harley emblem's color yet. It might be better if it were kind of ghosted on.
I was screwing around with the paint program and did a bit more work on my tank and fender ideas.
This is the tank with the pin stripes in the right color.
This is the fender that I first though I would like. I just forgot tochange the green on Marvins helmet and "skirt" (?) to match the pin stripes
Hers the front fender with a different Marvin, this is the one that I would rather useon the rear fender behind the seat and under the rack.I stuck it on the front just to see if I would like it there instead.
Oops. I forgot to look when I got on my other computer. I guess the thread slipped down to low and it slipped my mind. I'll try to remember to look today, unless you can post the pictures as attachments. Then I could see them right away.
michaelbarry,
We need to cut him a little slack on this. I don't think he's old enough to get it yet.
wamp,
Just because I'm going to be 58 in a couple or three months, itdoesn't mean I have grown up.
Grown older, yes, that's unavoidable, the alternative is to take a dirt nap, and I'm not quite ready to try that yet.
But growing up is something I consider optional and when it comes to my bike, no thanks, I'll pass.
Lifes too short to take it all that seriously, so while I'm still above the ground, I'm going totry my best to enjoy it.
I considered getting a really nice flame job. But everyone has one of them.
Nothing wrong with that, I like a good flame job as much as the next guy.
But I wanted to do something a little different and since there are NO LAWS telling me what I have topaint on MY bike.
What's wrong with having somefun with it?
Citoriplus,
I think it looks good. I can't decide if I like the silver pinstriping of the green pinstriping better. I think the Marvin on the tank is cool. I say make the bike your own, and paint it the way you want it.
Two points
1) The orange Harley emblem doesn't go with the green martin. Paint the Harley emblem the same green as the Martin andgreen stripe.
and I think you could ghost it (the Harley emblem) in about half as bright.
2) The Army green martin you want doesn't match either. Paint him that bright green to match you pin stripes.
