have a 05 deuce, i installed the kuryakyn flush mount gas caps.
the top of my tank is black so the fact that they don't fit correctly is not
noticed.
my question i noticed slight bubbling in my clear coat where the cap meets the tank, has anyone else seen this? if so anything to do to stop it?
I have no answer to your question, but I did have those on my Deuce...
I found the gap between the gas cap bezel and the tank unacceptable, I finally put on the HD flush mount gauge and gas cap, the trim ring for the gas cap can be formed to fit the contour of the Deuce gas tank for a perfect fit with no gaps![8D]
For the bubbling in the clear coat... use emory cloth to smooth surface... stuff tissue or cloth in hole first to catch dust... then expoxy around opening. A good cover-up is to use trim rings... but repair the damage first
