Default FATBOY 50 CALIBER ?

I just bought a 2008 fatboy a few weeks ago and I heard that the holes in the rims are supposed to be the that a 50 caliber or millimeter bullet would leave. Does anyone know anything about this? Also, the studs on the seat and matching saddle bags looks like bullet tips. any history would be appreciated.

Its "supposed" to be .50 cal or 1/2", 50mm is nearly 2".
Itsjust astyling or marketinggimic, a real .50 cal BMG round would in all liklehoodshatter the cast aluminum the wheel is made from.
It looks good anyway.

I guessed as much from the question. If you had been in the Army or Marines you would have been very familiar with a .50 BMG. Its been the benchmark for heavy machine guns for nearly a century now.
