Installed Ultimate seat tonight

I received the new seat today from Ultimate Seats. Des Hockley is a first rate guy and a pleasure to do business with. We traded emails back and forth and a phone call and I decided to try his seat. The workmanship on this seat is excellent and with the new design it flows good with the bike. Without the back rest I think it sets me in about the same position as the stock seat as far as height and reach. With the backrest installed I feel like I sit forward just a bit, but I think that may be due to having bad posture on the stock seat. You sit down in this seat but it also encourages you to sit up straight. I was only able to ride about 75 miles tonight due to time constaints, and I rode with the backrest. First impressions are very good, I had no lower back pain at all. With the stock setup, If I didn't wear a kidney belt, I would start to feel some pain in the lower back after about an hour. The real test will be how I feel after a full days ride, and I hope to do that on Sunday.
I took a few pics in the garage tonight. I'll try to get some better shots outside this weekend and report back on how the long ride turns out.

Looks like you got the 4 piece set ... NICE! I've had an Ultimate on two prior bikes and loved the seats. As Des says, give it 300 miles at least before you really start to judge it. The 75 mile trip is a good start, but I'm guessing by Sunday night you'll be convinced it was the best seat you could get. I think my wife has one planned for my Christmas present ...
