Are you thinking about installing a sprung solo seat? If so, remember one detail - no back support makes it easy to slide off under acceleration. I get a kick outta some of the bikes I see in magazines with a sprung solo. Many of 'em are lower at the rear of the seat than at the front. Not the way to do it. But if you set one up correctly they are quite comfortable.

I have tried in vain, so far to find a kit that fits a 2000 up softail. I tried V Chin, and Soentenga Designs, but not of the frame covers fit as advertised. Crusty Chrome/Jammer advertises one, but everytime I go to order one, they are back ordered. I am contemplating a post (pogo)early style solo from Crusty Chrome. I will just make a battery cover out of sheetmetal. I want to put it on my Springer Classic.

Check out Heartland USA for solo seat setup. For the right look
you may have to modify thier pan or you have to cut your "Horns" off your frame

I got my seat, mount, and springs from this company: www.justifieddefiance.com. I made the battery cover from tin.
