I would like to remove my reflectors from my fender struts and from the front forks. What is the best and safest way to remove the reflectors and the double sided tape. I don't want to screw up or scratch anything, please help.

Thanks !

Default RE: Reflector Removal Question

Use some dental floss or fishing line. Stretch it tighly and use a sawing motion to cut them off. A little alcy or goo gone should get rid of any leftover glue. If you use a blow drier on hi or other hot air gun on it for a minute first it will sofen up the glue and you might just be able to pull them off by hand. Just be careful not to overheat the paint on the fender. Put something over it to protect it from the heat, like thin cardboard or a piece of tin.

uh....you know you posted this question 3 times, don't you....?

spray some wd-40 on the adhesive and let it sit for a couple minutes. the wd40 will eat away most of the stuff and you can just rip those things off. spray more on the left over adhesive and it will come off very easy.
