I've got my eye on a new Heritage that I want so bad it's not even funny. I am very close to just getting it. But I want to know how you guys with Heritage Softail Classics clean your back fender and wheel. (If you clean it at all) Do the bags come off easily for easy access to cleaning the rear end? Just wondering.
BA
For quick washing, just to get the bugs off, I leave them on. If I'm going to wash / wax, I pull the bags off. It's 3 nuts the remove them - just take a few minutes.
I don't ahve a heritage, but just put it up on the lift and spin the wheel to clesn the wheel. Get a quick release system for the bags to make simple removal even easier...
I wash mine on the lift I have with the bags on. But if it takes you more than a minute to take them off your slow. Two nuts in the bag and one buy passenger foot peg. Real easy get the Heritage you'll love it. Tom

Ditto. To clean my whitewalls, I must admit I roll the bike forward about 3 times to expose everything I need to reach. I use Westley's Bleche Wite (wal-mart) so the actual cleaning is easy.
Looks like you've already got a bunch into your Fatboy, why not just add the bags, winshield and passing lamps to it??? Seems like it would be more cost effective, and those are the only real differences. Handlebarstoo, but those you'd likely be happier with aftermarket internally wired bars.
