When my Deuce is travelling between 35-50 miles per hours, I get a front wheel shimmering. It doesn't do this below 35 or above 50. Anyone have any thoughts on what might be causing this problem?
I wish I could remember which tech on here had that problem nailed-down. I can't find the original thread now. Bookmarked at work, so I'll add it on Monday.
If you are noticing the wheelwobble during slow-down, most likely at (or real near) 40mph, then have your tensioner checked in your primary. The chain insideis too loose. You are feeling torque-play that manifests itself out to your front wheel.
It may sound odd, but if you have a relatively new bike, maybe less than 5,000 miles, I'd have a Harley tech check it for you. It is an easy adjustment for them, and should be checked at the 5k service.
