Made a offer with my trade, but the dealer was pretty hard headed and would not deal
You might do better to sell your bike yourself. A buddy of mine has a wide glide and wanted to trade up to a dresser, dealer only offered him 6k for his trade.
Just adding my voice to the choire of Heritage fans. Got mine, an '08, in August and already have 6000km on it. Love the pull, and the handling, but as others have mentioned, you will drag the floor boards. It can be disconcerting the first few times, then you start to know when it's going to happen.
The stock seat I would rate at about 3 hours... then you need to get off it for a few minutes, but by then you need gas anyway. Most I've done was 8 hours in one day and that was painless, though the beers did taste extra good that evening. The bags are great for carring the incendentals for day trips. For overnight, I installed the luggage rack and strap a bag to that.
Best part is picking my kid at school on the bike. All the classmates think I'm the greatest dad.
i just got a seat by Russel Cycles. It is fit to your size and weight and riding position. I have had many seats for all my bikes, 3 for my heritage...this is by far the best. it costs a few bucks more but on your first long ride you will know its worth it. It is called the day long saddle http://www.day-long.com/
i have the skull embroidred in. Looks good. the passenger pad pas done also, its huge. looks funny on bike when not in use but im sure my passenger will be happy!
