I talk to the one of the guys on the factory tour, Asked what the hold up is on the rocker. He said that the three piece fender is glued together after they paint it they bake it. baking it makes the fender glue delaminate.
I saw 3 of them tonight at Bikes, Blues and BBQ in the Harley booth. There were 2 "regular" Rockers and a Rocker C. I sat on one of them and it feels a WHOLE lot like a V-Rod in the way it sits, the front end stretch and the way it carries it's weight. We also have a Fat Bob in the shop that I played with today too. I like the looks of the Fat Bob a lot more than the Rocker (overall). The rear end on the Rocker does look nice though but there is a HUGE gap between the rear fender and the seat that I would assume is so the tire/fender can move up and down. We got quite a few pictures of the bike but they're on my brother's camera and he doesn't have his camera cable with him (it's in Houston). He's going to e-mail me the pics when he gets home on Monday.
Interesting side note: My wife was with me when the H/D guy was demoing the Rocker C seat. Her exact response was "You don't expect ME to sit up there like a friggen frog on THAT thing do you?!?!" Oh well, I guess the Rocker C already flunked the wife test. I guess I'm stuck with the Heritage or if she has her way, an S/E Ultra...
sorry the rockers have some major evolving to do. that fender to seat distance is bigger than the grand canyon. it looks like total a$$ imo. sorry for those of u who are awaiting delivery. i don't mean to get anyone mad. there's alot i like, but even more i dislike.
just my .2
Mr TXCOMP wish it was meseeing them in the flesh and i bet there are a few of us awaiting to see the pictures of the "C",oh did they have the standard one there with the passanger seat on it, please post some pics if they did.
