We sliced my rear fender, rolled the edges, and welded a SS piece of tubing to mount this led in. Then we painted the inside of the fender with a bed liner type of coating to resist chipping and such. We used a commercial grade 3M epoxy to glue the led in place, if it ever goes bad, I will have to dig it out, oh well...

You will need to use this to split your directional's and brake lights too.
I am also using their pulse model so that when you hit the brake it pulses 3 times before turning solid, and it works real nice. I'll make a vid up one of these nights and repost it. Here is a shot of the install.
