All dealers received a communication from the MOCO stating that NO ROCKERS will be delivered until January 2008
I got the call last night @ 6:00 PM.
I am going to hang on to my delivery position and see what the demand is in January
i think the call u recieved is a couple of weeks late, i could be wrong. 1st it was to be delivered in sept., then i got the call and they were moved back 3 weeks into oct., then my dealership said they got a memo/statement from HD that they will not be delivered till jan., now last week they(dealership) said they got a shipping date for my rocker from HD of the nov. 9th. alot of jerking off going on over these bikes. im not blaming the dealership, they are as confused, they said they really dont know what to tell their customers. they also said that if i was getting upset that they would refund my deposit. the rocker is what i have been really looking for.
I was at a UK dealer today, at least they had a couple of Fat Bobs there - did'nt like them much. But no sign of the Rockers and when I asked when they will be getting them I was told "March - and we have sold all of them already". I am going to the big UK bike show at the end of November, purely to get a look and sit on one.No way would I part with that much cash without seeing and test riding.
bobberhead no sorry rockerhead, you were right, after reading ur post i called them(dealership) and they said they got a letter from HD this morning and they are back to being postponed till jan. MF.
Arrrgh! I've been hanging around my local Harley dealer sitting on different bikes just in case the Rocker didn't fit me, sinceNovember wasn't that far away. Now, I guess I'll have to call ita late Christmas present.
My dealer also called mearound 3pm on FRI 10/12.
He said Harley faxed him a letter stating that the Rocker will not be here to JAN.
He also said I am first in line when they come in.
I guess this comes with buying a bike it's first year out. You guys are a lot more patient than I would be. Of course, I would never buy a bike I hadn't seen in person, though.
