Default Gloves?

Which gauntlet glove would keep the hands warmest without being heated? Thanks

Living in New England,I try to get the most out of the riding year. I have tried many cold weather sport gloves, and they all ended up in a box, forgotten forever. The best gloves I have are Army issue leather gloves with wool inserts. You can pick them up at an Army/Navy store for about $25.00. No problems with my fingertips getting cold on those 30 something degree days.

I just got some Harley Windshielder gauntlet gloves. I rode in about 46 deg. weather and they worked great. I am going to stick to unheated gloves, because there is something about being plugged in that freaks me out.

Buy a box of latex gloves and wear those under whatever riding gloves you wear. They make a huge difference in how warm your hands will be.

Funny thing about that, you know as well as I do how bad they suck in the field, on guard, or patrols. But somehow they work great soon as the civies go on. I wonder why that is?

that's true with most military stuff. I hated wearing my utilities while I was in the navy, but I wear the pants to work every day now! maybe I'm just cheap. ??

I use Gerbing's Classic. rode to work 6am yesterday (40deg) and today (46deg) and hands were good. We're talking maybe with wind chill factored in , 10-25 degrees. Well worth the $$$.

Yeah, it's a little pain in the azz to put harness on and plug in (maybe all of a couple of minutes), but , hey you'll be as comfy as you can get and RIDING for this time of year.

Of course, if you can get away from doing it cheaper, try the other methods, but bottom line is you would be best with some heat to prolong the inevitable.

Harley's FXRG gloves. I have worn them in the twenties and no problem. The FXRG stuff isn't cheap, but they do work well.
