I'm trying to decide between Burly bikini beach bars andHD narrow beach bars. I've received some good info from some good folks here. Anyway, I compared HDregular beach bars withthe aforementioned. The pull back on the HD reg beach bars throws me. Per their chart they are only 4 3/4" but 35 3/4" wide. Seems like that would put your grips pretty far away from you. I heard that the HD narrow have a 10" pullback which at 33 1/2" wide seems pretty good and makes more sense. But when I look at rider views of the HD narrow and the stock deluxe bars I wonder if they would be that much dfferent. Idon't see it. So any one who has them and can comment... I'd appreciate it.
My front runner is the Bikini's. I like the 12 3/4" pulback they have. Reagardless of what Igo with, what is the best riser height to use? By the way... is the riser height measured from base to the bottom of the cradle that the bar rests in? Lastly, bars are measured without grips. I figure grips (standard size)add about 2 -
2 1/2 " to the width.I asked a guy at a local shop and he said grips shouldn't change the width. But the stock deluxe bars are at 32 1/2 and I measure about 35 with my grip. So they haveto add width...am I correct?
