A faster fix may be just to add a tube and call it a day. I understand it's principle and you definately should get what you pay for, but principle maybe worth less than getting out on the highway. Good luck either way.
anymore input on these DNA mammoth rims? Ive talked to KC international and were very nice to me, both times i called. I wont order through DNA directly. I can get both rims powder coated for a great price, but all these bad threads and comments have me worrried. Ride wright seems to be more money and breaks my budget...
Jc I'm have the same concerns. I want fat spoked wheels but don't have the coin to buy ride wrights. I've seen great prices for DNA WHEELS but don't want to have to worry about bad customer services if u have an issue.
Ill be checking back on this thread to see if anyone has any ideas. Im suprised there is not a member on here fron DNA.
KC international sells them-- talked to them twice and they were very nice and beat every price i found. They even called me back after the first time when they were busy with other customers.......
I want these rims, just not with the head ache. ive allocated myself with $1200 for parts. could be all for one part or could be for numerous parts. all depends on quality here. maybe rims.....maybe hand, bars and foot controls....who knows.

you just hit the nail on the head.YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. if you are expecting top quality at a discount price good luck. all the negative i am hearing about this style wheel is dna not much about ride wright seems like the old saying you get what you pay for
I only speak from the two wheels on my bike. No leaking issues in about 16 months of use. Chrome is good. I ordered through KC and they helped me return one that was damaged. DNA nor KC were overly nice about it, but they got it done. This is simply my experience. Maybe I got lucky.

I agree with this. I still think about this and after thinking long and hard about it, no one is out to rip anyone off here. One companie provides a far superior product to the other. They make everything in hosue and take price in their work. They take care of tehir vendors and customers as true professionals. That is difficult to find in the MC industry, but not unheard of. I strive to work with companies who will work with me before and after the sale as it is not unheard to need support after the sale.
As far as other shops and their vendors, I cannot speak for them as I have not done business with them. I only know what I have read here on the forums. Opinions have been greatly varied.
The one thing that does stick out in my mind is the guy who had another companies fat spoke rims on his ride and had it go flat on him as he was getting on the freeway. I will fidn teh thread and psot qa link as this kind of stuff is really scary. In case you veh not seen the Ride Wright thread I wrote here is a link. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/wheel...ical-info.html
I ride my bike on a daily basis and need something that is reliable therefore I choose Ride Wright. My bike is my transportation. Whatever you choose I wish you good experiences with all.

Drew
Drew, That was one incedent with the flat tire. If it was a common thing DNA would not be in business right now due to the liability and from getting sued. I got a rear flat on my deluxe a couple years ago with the dunlop tire. It could happen to any tire. All spoke wheels run tubes. I raced motocross for years getting flats quite often with spoke wheels and tubes. I know its more dangerous to get a flat on the road but any wheel or tire can blow at any time. I do agree that they shouldnt call the wheel tubeless if there is leak issues. Its just safe practice to run tubes in a spoke wheel. The quality of the wheel is good, other than a possible leak. How long did you run DNA on your bike? Did you have any blow outs?
