They should do if you use shorter risers. Can't confirm this as still haven't done mine. Gonna do braided lines at the same time so still researching the correct length for bikini bars with 1.5" risers.
May someone else that has done this will have more info. Will the stock length work?
Thanks' Rob
I have looked up the actual measurments for the stock Deluxe bars as posted on Flanders web site (big help if its right). Although they seem to be a bit off from my measuments but I will trust there's. They list stock bars at 5" high, 32" wide 11 1/2 pull back ???.and 8" center. Also the stock Riser at 6" hight and 2" pullback.
To put measurments in the ball park they clame to take the increased height plus 1/2 the increased pullback and add it to the current cable length. I'm going to be close. Most likely I will order the bars. Just a bit iffy on the break line.
Thanks' Chromedome,
I ordered the Burly Bikini bar today. Shipped it standard. My plan right now is to try it with the stock riser. If it looks bad or the brake line is to short I figure I will be able to go with a shorter riser and easly bring the cable lengthin.
I saw some bikes on this forum with beach bars. TRat has the most awsome bike I ever saw. The guy has tallent. I'mhoping to get abit more retro look for the scoot without having to rework alot.
I have these bars on my 05' deluxe with the stock cables, but I do have shorter risers - 1.5 or 2 inches - don't remember which. The front brake line barely fits with these bars and the shorter risers, but it works if you remove the topclip on the back of the forks that holds the brake line. This allows the brake line to move to the right about a .5 inch or so and there is still a lower clip holding the brakeline. I have been running this way since late 2004, so you won't have any problems. Goodluck.
Thanks' gc & calin,
After scrolling through some pictures earlier today I saw both your bikes. Awasome, its whatI was looking for. I went ahead and ordered 1 1/2 in. risers. Harley hasafter marketcrome clips to hold the rigid brake line (at the back of the tripple clamp).By the picture they seem a bit longer.
I had thought about turning them outboard and bending the line as gc noted. Calin, that corbin seat flows nice.
