I always heard 2" not sure if it's true, but if it was you could get 8"risers, instead of the stock 6".

I put the 1 1/4" pull back and the brake line was tugging on my 99 FXSTB. Don't know is your situation is different. I hope so for your sake

Did the 8" straight change the riding position much?

slightly, obviously up 2 inches but also just a bit back.IREALLY like the way it looks but still am not very comfortable.I am currently looking at 12 to 14 inch apes with 2 inch risers. That will bring the bars up, out and back.

I got 9.5 pullbacks and a HD Drag bar on my 99, and it is very comfortable. Friend liked mine, and put some on his 04 NT, didn't have to make any mods to it either. Get em' you'll be glad you did.

How come some people say they have to modify on 8"and others can go 9.5" with no mods? I would really like to go 9.5" if I did not have to do anything else. My train is an 05, does it matter what year or are they all the same?

You shouldn't have any problems with the 9.5's at least my friend didn't w/the 04. Go for it, and let us know when you do.
