I'm interested in getting a set of levers, but it says for '96 - '06 bikes. I'm thinking it shouldn't really matter and the levers will also fit an '07. Is this correct?
The only dumb question is the one that isn't asked, which can lead to purchasing the wrong part...taking your scoot apart only to find out it won't fit because the MoCo made some little change. Then you're scoot is down, and you have another trip to the dealership (or you've bought something off eBay that you can't return) to order the right part, which usually isn't in stock!
In summary, always double check fitment before you buy something. Find someone at your dealer that actually knows what they're talking about and ask them!
You may think you just need levers but I'm thinking you should be packing extra bandaids for when riding like that............sorry, couldn't resist. Don't want you to end up like the guy that just hit a deer on his new Fatty....He went beyond bandaids..........M.S.
They nay be selling an olderpart thatwas made prior to 07's - that is the package states fits up to 06's because it was packed prior to the 07's coming out. Or, the 07's were the first year to implement the neutral safety switch and there was a change that took place in the levers themselves because of this. I have an 07' and have replaced the levers ( over a year ago). Check a HD catalog and see what years their levers cover and go with that...................
