Ihad a stage 2 upgrade done on my 02 Heritage a couple of months ago. As part of thisI added a Power Commanderlll. Almost immediately Istarted have trouble with cold starts. Not every time, some times it would fire instantly, othersit woulddrain the battery and never fire. When this happened the only wat to get it to start was lift the seat and bypass the PC lll. It would start no problem. I ended up removing the PC lll and running without it, the bike runs OK without it, but it sure runs better with it. Theshop that installed itsent the PC lll back to the dealer, they tested it and either "fixed it" or sent back a new one (not exactly sure). We put it back on, I thought all was well, rode for a week (including a nice 300 mile road trip last weekend) and then this week it hit again. Won't start, drained the battery, bypassed the PC lll and it started instantly. I'm riding without it on the bike again, going back to the shop tomorrow to see what we can figure out.

Anyone have any ideas????

 

I had the same problem with my PCIII on my '03 Heritage. The PCIII was bad, the reason for the no start condition was that it was failing to read the crank sensor. I replaced it with a new unit and have had no problems since.

 

Call Dnyojet in North Las Vegas. They're the manufacturer and they have a technical support team. If you can get your bike up there, they'll fix your problem.
